About Dandelion Growers Club
As a military veteran and imperfect gardener, I created Dandelion Growers Club to share my dry sense of humor and love of plants through original T-shirt designs. My designs are inspired by gardening and nature and made for people who, like me, find joy in growing things.
I’ve had some difficult experiences during 30 years of military and government service, and I often find refuge in the garden. Plants, wildlife, and the quiet work of tending the land bring me peace and help me find the joy, healing, and humor that grow there.
I’m fortunate to live on 12 acres in rural Eastern Washington, where wild grasses and ponderosa pines grow alongside medicinal plants such as plantain, yarrow, mullein, and St. John’s wort. The land also holds its share of invasive weeds, which I’m working to reduce through natural methods. As I restore the land, the land restores me.
Health challenges are bringing my public service career to an end earlier than I expected. Dandelion Growers Club is helping me build a meaningful next chapter, but it is more than a business. It brings me joy. For the first time in 30 years, I’m pursuing a passion, giving my creativity room to grow, and building a community around something I genuinely love.
This is a club for people who understand that growing things is meaningful but rarely perfect. It’s for gardeners who keep planting after the deer and gophers win, laugh at their failures, leave flowers for the bees, and keep the birdbath full.
Whether you tend a few acres, a vegetable garden, a couple of pots on a patio, or one determined plant on a windowsill, you belong here if growing things brings you joy.
Welcome to the club.
